"I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me." (John 17:23)
How much does God love Christians? John the Beloved takes us into the prayer closet of our Lord Jesus Christ. What an amazing chapter we have in chapter 17 of the Gospel according to John. This chapter is called the High Priestly prayer of Christ. If anything else, this is indeed the "Lord's Prayer." What we have here is a glimpse of true communion in prayer between the eternal Son of God, and God the Father. In this sacred time of divine communication we catch the answer to our question: How much does God love His people? with full assurance we can say as much as He loves His only begotten Son. Dear Christian, God loves you.
